Rock hunting on the north shore of Lake Superior inspired my love of agates, thomsonites and gemstones. In the 1970’s I became hooked on collecting glass beads as well, and discovered vintage, Czech and many other unique treasures throughout my travels around the U.S.A., Europe and the Far East.
I also make my own beads and find mixing colors and shaping forms to be very seductive. I use Italian glass and enhance them with encasing, dichroic glass, and gold and silver leaf. I combine these creations with quality gemstones, Swarovski Austrian crystal and a variety of metal work including torched, stamped and hammered sterling, copper, brass, and 14K Gold.
When designing, I focus on color, proportion, balance, beauty and wearability.
